Radioisotope generators are sources for the production of radioisotopes for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals. A radioisotope generator is a device that provides a short-lived radioactive substance from the decay of a long-lived parent radionuclide. Usually, special separation techniques are used to produce the parent radioisotope for the production of radioisotopes from a cyclotron or reactor.
